Justyn Snooks says he’s honoured to have won the WebStor Challenge and feels the concept will only get bigger in coming years.

“The WebStor East Coast Classic Rally Challenge is a great initiative, especially for those who are passionate about historical rally cars like my brother and I are,” said Snooks.

“It was a hotly contested championship and both Steuart and I are thrilled to have won the Challenge and know it will be tough to back it up next year with the level of competitiveness among the classic rally community.

“We’d especially like to thank WebStor for making such a great series happen again in 2013.”

Supported by Brisbane based web Design company, WebStor, owned by Dallas Dogger the East Coast Classic Rally Challenge aims to give classic rally competitors a cost effective three round rally series based on the East Coast made up of the Bega Valley Rally, Border Ranges Rally and the Kumho Rally of the Bay.

The WebStor East Coast Classic Rally Challenge aroused attention from the growing ranks of classic rally competitors with a healthy fleet of classic Escorts, Datsuns, Porsches, Toyotas, Holdens and Triumphs all chasing the Challenge title.

“This is all about honouring the heritage of our sport and giving those who are rebuilding old classic machines and replicas great roads and events to compete on with a series especially designed for classic machines,” said chairman of the NSW rally panel, Colin Fletcher.

“In the 1970s when the classic Ford Escorts, Datsun Stanzas, Holden V8s and other machines were the stars of the sport, the Bega Valley Rally earned its reputation as one of the great drivers’ events while a little way up the coast at Batemans Bay the Bunbury Curran Rally was a competitor favourite,” said Fletcher.

“In recent times the Border Ranges Rally has stamped itself as an event that offers great competition for classic competitors which uses some of the 2009 Rally Australia roads which was a huge attraction for classic competitors,” he added.

Plans are in place for the 2014 East Coast Classic Rally Challenge with rounds at Batemans Bay, the Border Ranges and at a third round which is still to be decided.

“We are very happy to support the East Coast Rally Challenge and many will know the work we have put into promote classic rallying in Australia”. Dogger said.

“WebStor creates some of the best rally websites in Australia, including Rally Australia. Any classic team needing a website gets a rally discount!. He said.
