Why do I need to update my website? There’s nothing wrong with it, nothing has changed in the business so why should I update it?
Website technology has changed so much over the last two years, we use a completely different tools to create websites now that were available to us even a year ago. Search engine optimisation has become a black art and certain websites are impossible to optimise when changes happen to the Internet.

- Do you have features that you no longer have all products that are no longer sold. Nothing is worse than promoting something that you don’t do any more.
- Did you make your website web 2.0 compatible? That was six years ago and web standards have improved.
- Do you have a news page and do you regularly update it with news from your business? Google says this is relevant to the ranking of your business.
- Do you have an active backlink campaign to your current website? This can be had for older websites
- Are you integrated with social media? Do you have links to your Facebook and Twitter accounts or LinkedIn or Google plus? Some of the sites do not have plug-ins are needed to link to the social media organisations.
- An up-to-date fresh website tells your customer that you are open for business and that you are up to date your thinking and your product range.
- Is the copyright on the bottom of your website any other than 2015? If so your website showing its age.
A Web refresh is not as expensive as you might think and does not cost as much as a brand-new website the content has already been completed it just needs to be rearranged into new menus and with a fresh new look.
